President's Day = ALL DAY HAPPY HOUR

Have the day off? Not sure what to do with yourself? Well, we have the answer! We are opening our doors early at 11am to bring you HAPPY HOUR ALL DAY!! That's right, our normal happy hour menu will be in effect from 11am-11pm. At 8pm, Dr. Tim Parks and the Rev take the stage to rock the house!
Come honor our past presidents the way they liked to celebrate-- good food and a tankard of ale!

SUPERBOWL PARTY AT FIREFLIES!!

This Sunday is our FIRST ANNUAL SUPERBOWL PARTY!! WOOHOO! We are going to kick off the event with a patio/parking lot tailgate. Then, at gametime, we'll be heading inside to watch the big game on our 10ft screen (and big screen TV). Join us and cheer on your team (or razz the opponents). You don't want to miss this!

Inauguration Day '09

Don't feel like schlepping into DC for the Inauguration? Wanna stay local but still celebrate this historic day? Then, head over to FireFlies! We'll be watching the Inauguration on the big screen -- while serving up drink and food specials! Some friends of ours from Artfully Paper will also be on hand with some Obama memorabilia! New Year's was a blast with the Kelly Bell Band. But, if you missed it, do not fret- we will have many more fun nights over at FireFlies!

Here are some highlights of January:

Bluegrass Open Mic on Wednesdays at 8pm- bring your fiddle, mandolin, bass, steel gee-tar, or just your voice and join in the fun!

TOMORROW NIGHT (Jan. 8th)-
Alex Mitchell (you've never heard voilin until you hear this guy's violin) opens for Bobby T and the Magic Voyagers-- Should be an awesome show!

Jan 17th- Sketchbook- FireFlies' own (and part creator of Cozy Creative) Matt's band-- again, should be a great show! Come support Matt and his buds!

Jan 20th- INAUGURATION DAY- Looking for a chill place to hang out, catch the inauguration, enjoy some food and drink specials without too much fuss? Then head over to FireFlies- we'll have the big screen on and you won't have to fight the DC crowds!

Jan 10th & 29th- Tim Parks and the Rev burnin' up the stage

Jan 22nd- Come see Janna Audey

Jan 24th- Disco Heretics

We've got the bluesy-funk of the Kelly Bell Band rockin' the house and a DJ to keep the tunes spinning on breaks!
We are clearing out the tables by 8pm so you can get your groove on! We will be open all day up until then for regular menu. After that, our New Year's party will be in full swing!
The party starts at 9pm and won't end 'til it's 2009!

Tickets are on sale now at FireFlies. $20 in advance and, if there are any left, $25 at the door. You can buy your tickets through a manager, your waiter, or the bartender.
We will have a shuttle going to the Braddock Metro and various points down Mt. Vernon Ave. to make your trip home safer.

Halloween is upon us! Join us Friday night at 9pm for the first annual Halloween Costume Contest! There will be great prizes. Come prepared to strut your stuff on our stage.....loudest cheer from the crowd wins.... so bring your friends and stack the vote!

Bluegrass Oktoberfest is here! This Saturday, October 4th!

Join us at FireFlies for a fun filled day of bluegrass tunes by The Zekiah Swamp Cats, bratwursts on the patio (off our 6ft. grill), and cold Oktoberfest brews! We also have a new specialty drink menu- that will flip your lid!
The party kicks off at 12pm on Saturday, October 4th and goes until 6pm.
